HELEN FORBES (22/8/1921 - 19/2/2008)
Helen Forbes (known to all that knew and loved her...as Nellie) was born on the 22nd August 1921 in
a little village called Winlaton in the north of England. She was married twice and had two sons and
two daughters...in order of birth: John, Brenda, Pauline and Timothy. Her family were her joy and
her life, and there was nothing she wouldn't do for them or their familys. She made many
sacrifices, although she would never call them that, she would just say...but that is what a mother
does! Her home had the 'open-door' policy, she welcomed everyone in, just the same, and
you never knew who would be there, from one minute to the next, sipping tea, coffee or sometimes the
odd whisky or sherry.
She was the BEST mother anyone could ever have, caring, compassionate, loving, hardworking,
tender...and all those adjectives that make a person who God intended them to be.
She had the brightest, honest smile for everyone, and will always be remembered for it...right down
to the last, in the hospital, all the nurses felt their day had been made when Nellie gave them her
glorious smile. She always felt that everyone had to make their own path in life, especially her
children, and that by letting them go off and "do their own thing", they would always come
back to her...and we did. We made mistakes but always knew she would be there to help us pick up the
pieces...
We all LOVE and MISS you so much mama...so much...

"If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane,
We'd walk right up to heaven...and bring you back again"

Sleep well, beautiful angel....Night and God Bless...see you soon

Sunday Poem

A Love to be taken was out of our control
The Lord came lovingly and took your soul
In came the silence as the angels crept
And raised you from where you silently slept
Quietly we whispered that we loved you
Until the point you were out of view
A final glimpse as the sparkle goes out
You will be loved there we have no doubt
We never wanted to lose someone so dear
God took your life but he left your love here.

We wish that we could see you
For just a little while
We wish that we could hug you
And see your loving smile
But wishing gets us nowhere and longing is in vain
So we will hold you in our hearts until we meet again.

Love always x

Our Children

Kahlil Gibran once said...mama darling...

"Our children are not our children, they are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come though you, but not from you.
And although they are with you, yet they belong not too you.
You may give them your love, but not your thoughts
For they have their own thoughts
You may house their bodies, but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward, nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinitite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the Archers hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves the bow that is stable and able to let it go!

I know mama, this is my life, that all that has been said here you agree with, I know it. Please help me try to live the life that I have left, without you. I know you only, ever want my happiness, and I KNOW you are at peace, are happy in God's hands...I KNOW THIS!...I know this in my soul. Love you darling, Always, ALWAYS.Px

Rest In Peace Helen

Heaven you hold something special
You've left me with an empty space
You’ve taken the joy out of my life
And a love I cannot replace

Thankyou Pauline

♥ â™° ♥ â™° TO MY DEAR FRIEND ♥ â™° ♥ â™°

Pass this on to all your close friends

I recieved this lovely poem today
I would like to share it with you
Its just a way of saying Im grateful
For everything you do

If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own;
A place to find serenity,
A place to be alone.

If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea,
But all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me.

I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I know best,
A friend who's always there.

Thankyou!

Poem of Inspiration

Look through your tears of sadness
And look out for a smile
I'd like to see you happy
If only for a while
I'd like to see your sad days
Turned into something bright
You can use me as your guardian
To make this world seem right
I know it can be difficult
And everything seems wrong
But hold your head above it all
I will gladly help you along
For every hour I see you crying
Its an hour that I'm left sad
For every hour I see you laughing
Its an hour that I'm feeling glad
Dont hold onto the yesterdays
Today is a brand new day
And the tap you feel on your shoulder
Is me to guide you on your way

I see tears fall down your face
When your thoughts have turned to me.
Just know that I’m in heaven,
With my Lord, who’s set me free.

No pain or sadness do I feel,
For God is by my side.
The beauty here in Heaven
Is now where I reside.

I know it’s hard for you to cope
For you can’t feel my touch.
But every moment, I can see
And love you very much.

When you are at your lowest
And feel you can’t go on,
Look towards the heavens
The light will be turned on.

Talk to me, just like you did
On earth when I was there.
You see, I’m not so far away …
Only as far as a prayer.

And when it’s time for you to join
Me up in Heaven above.
It’s then that you will realize,
The Golden Place of love.

For here there is no sadness,
Just everlasting light.
Someday we will be joined again,
When it’s time to take your flight.

IF I COULD CATCH A PASSING CLOUD
I'D JUMP ON AND TAKE A RIDE
I'D ASK THE WINDS THAT BLOW IT
TO TAKE ME TO YOUR SIDE

I'D LOVE TO SEE YOU ONCE AGAIN
BUT I WOULDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
AND RIDE THAT CLOUD BACK DOWN TO EARTH
BACK HERE AGAIN TO GRIEVE

I am not so far from you,
Just a little way beyond;
Past the cares and past the pain,
Far past my earthly bonds.
When you feel you miss me most,
As years go drifting by,
Each memory will prove to you,
That our love will never die.
For memories are but a touch,
From the Father's gentle hand,
To heal your pain and mend your hearts,
To help you understand...
That while I left you far too soon,
I did not leave alone:
For the Father sent His angels,
To gently take me home.
Take comfort when you think of me,
Keep my love alive in your heart,
And with the warmth of each memory,
We will never be apart.
